Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a very simple way of raising extra money - money that will help us support even more radiological research.

How it works - if you donate £20.00 to the Radiological Research Trust and make a Gift Aid declaration, we can claim an additional £5.64 from the taxman.

Can I Gift Aid my donation?

For your donation to qualify for Gift Aid, you must be a UK tax payer and pay enough income tax or capital gains tax to at least equal the amount that the Radiological Research Trust will claim on your donations made in that tax year. For example, if you were to generously donate £200 to the Radiological Research Trust in one tax year, you must have paid at least £50 tax, which is the amount that we would reclaim in Gift Aid from HMRC.

I want to make a Gift Aid Declaration NOW!

To make a gift aid declaration please download a form here and return it to us at:

or send us an email at fundraising@radiologicalresearchtrust.org

Are you a higher rate tax payer?

Not only can the Radiological Research Trust claim back the tax on your gift at the basic rate, but you too can benefit from your donation.

You can claim tax relief at a rate of 20% on the total value of your donation - which is the difference between higher and lower rate tax. For example, as a higher rate tax payer donating £100 to the Radiological Research Trust we can claim £28 from HMRC, increasing the value of your gift to £128. You can then claim 20% on the £100 that you donate to receive £25 tax relief. So it costs you just £75 to make a £128 donation!

It couldn't be simpler either - just include the details of your charitable gifts on your self-assessment tax form or tell the tax office over the phone.

Thank you for supporting the Trust in this simple but effective way.
